Volunteers are the reason non-profit organizations stay afloat; they provide an incredible savings while also offering invaluable skill and dedication. The JCOC has opportunities for individuals and groups of all backgrounds. Check out how to get involved below and fill out our Volunteer Information Packet to get started!


Meals Program

  • Unload and sort food and supplies
  • Prepare meals for lunch and/or dinner
  • Assist in food service
  • Assist with mealtime set up & clean up
  • Any additional tasks
 

Administration

  • Filing and organizing
  • Phone support
  • Clerical duties, as assigned
 

Tutoring / Education

  • Reading, writing, social studies, science, and math GED prep
  • Practical skills, varies based on need
  • English as a Second Language (ESL)
  • Resume building, career development
  • Financial planning, budgeting
   

Thrift Store

  • Assist customers
  • Sort/hang clothes
  • Unload donation deliveries
  • Stock shelves
  • Housekeeping
  • Any additional tasks, as assigned
 

Landscaping

  • Mowing
  • Raking
  • Weeding
  • Painting
  • Any additional tasks, as assigned
